It was still known as the Riddle house. Even though the last of the Riddle's was long dead. Still no one entered this odd little house on the hill. Well, occasionally you would get a silly little muggle boy break in, thrilled by the rumors that their were dead bodies rotting all over the floors. Adam Corteil was no different. Late evening one strangely hot Friday he threw a rock through the bottom window and pulled himself through. He was rather disappointed to see that the rumors were far from true. The house was empty, covered in dust and spider webs. Adam moved further into the room, straining his eyes to see across the room. It was then that he heard a husky voice echo from the darkness. "You've done well Scorpius" the voice said and it was met by the deep laugh of a boy. "I only did what my father was too weak to do" Adam heard what he thought was a body fall to floor. "This stone, is keeping me alive" the voice said, more to himself then the boy. "I need you to get me the wand" she commanded. "Oh and kill the muggle boy behind you" All Adam saw next was the wide grin of a dark haired boy and a flash of green light. His body fell with a loud thud to the floor beside that of Draco Malfoy.
Somewhere, miles away Harry Potter woke with a start. His hand instantly moved to his forehead, clutching his scar. He had woken from a dream, a very clear dream as if he was actually in the darkened room. But even now the images were slowly slipping away. Of one thing he was positive, dream or vision, either way this was not a good sign. Even if it wasn't coupled with the dream his throbbing scar was a bad sign on its own.
Ginny Weasley, Potter now stirred beside him. She half sat up and look down at him. "What is it?" she asked groggily. Her eyes jumped to the clock. 5am. She flopped back down on the bed, but keeping her eyes open on Harry.
"He's back" he said, not turning to look at his wife. How could he have been so stupid? To leave the stone in the forest, anyone could have found it. A muggle could have found it. But no, Harry's luck meant it had to be a Malfoy that found it, on top of that a Malfoy more evil then Draco himself.
Ginny sat up straight, fully awake now, she fixed her gaze on Harry's face. "Are you sure? I mean, how?" the panic was obvious in her voice. They had a family now, and they were in danger. Possibly in more danger then she was when they were at school. James, Albus and Lily would be targets. She was sure of it. If he couldn't kill Harry he would kill his children.
"I'm sure" he said slipping out of bed and moving over to the fire place. Who was there to tell? Everyone who Harry lent on all those years ago was dead. He fell to his knee's in front of it.
Ginny slid out of bed and knelt down beside him, wrapping her arms around his waist. "We'll tell mum and then Luna. They'll know what to do" she said softly, kissing his cheek.
It took Harry a few moments to gather the strength to reach forward and sprinkle floo powder into the dying flames.
The Next Day
"Harry, Ginny!" the loud voice of Molly Weasley echoed from the kitchen as the five Potter's entered the burrow. The whole family had been invited for 'dinner'. At least thats what the children were told. In reality the remaining members of the order of the phoenix were meeting to discuss Harry's latest dream, what it meant. "Hey mum" Ginny greeted planting a kiss on her cheek before quickly taking her place to help cooking "James, Albus, Lily go upstairs and find your cousins now" The three exchanged curious glances before thundering up the stairs to find Hugo and Rose. "Percy and Audrey couldn't make it on such short notice, but George and Angelina are in the garden setting the table" Molly said, rather faster then she would usually. Ginny simply nodded.
Meanwhile upstairs....
"Somethings going on" Rose said simply, shifting up on her bed so Lily could sit beside her. "Well duh" James answered. Hugo hit him playfully and grinned when his cousin lunged at him, in a attempt to pull him into a head lock. Fred rose to his feet and stood at the front of the room, as if addressing a board meeting. He coughed loudly and James instantly let go of Hugo and sat up straight paying attention. Fred pulled out two long pieces of string with ears on the end. "Expendable ears" he said triumphantly, only to be rugby tackled by all of his cousins.
Back downstairs...
The adult Weasley's and the two Potters were stood around the kitchen. They stood in silence as Harry finished telling them everything he could remember of the dream "Are you sure Harry? More then sure?" Arthur asked, pouring himself and Molly a rather large glass of wine. "Positive. It was just like when i was a kid, my scar burnt and everything.." he trailed off to wards the end, absentmindedly running his fingers over his scar. Ginny took his hand away from his scar and squeezed it gently. "We'd better tell McGonagall" George said. Moving over to the fire place and grabbing a hand full of floo powder. "Should we tell the children?" Ginny asked, looking around the room. "No" came Molly's shrill voice "They will only go looking for trouble." Harry chuckled and nodded in agreement. He squeezed Ginny's hand. "Best not to tell the children, they already hate Scorpius as it is" They all laughed, but the laughter didn't reach their eyes.
James dropped the ear and glanced round at his cousins. Who all had the same look of fear and disbelief on their faces. It wasn't over.
