The Great Hall is the best when your a first year. Breakfast, Lunch, dinner...food, gossip, friends, and of course all the owls flying everywhere dropping off parcels and your hopes that you might get on to prove to your friends how much your parents love you. And of course to show off that new broom you got just for a random occasion.
But not when you get the one envelope that's all red and the whole room seems to stop. The hush surrounds you and you freeze. Everyone's watching as you open it. The envelope flies out of your hand and forms a pair of lips that spit and everything as they yell at you.
Your personal business is out there for everyone to hear and your face starts to match the envelopes color. The laughter soon erupts and doesn't seem to diminish. You feel like your life is over and you rush out and don't dare to look back. Something like this can ruin you for what is, for a teenager, life.
Roxanne watched as the scene developed in front of her and felt sorry for the girl, but thanked whom ever watched over her because she really didn't need anything like that right now. She had her own problems and honestly didn't care that much about the girl who just ran out of the Great Hall with no one chasing after her.
Roxanne stared into her half full goblet and slightly turned green. Her stomach had been acting up lately even the talk of food made her want to vomit let alone eating it. but she took a sip anyways and put the goblet down. She nearly gagged on juice but it was better then nothing at all.
She got up from the bench and strolled out of the room looking all around with no clue where to go. Outside was kinda bleak but she really didn't want to deal with people. Her personality was changing drastically lately and the funny thing about it was no one was noticing.
She pushed open the door and walked out into the mist. It was cooling to the heat of yesterday. It was a light mist but you still couldn't see the ground and quite incidentally tripped over a root from a tree as she made her way to the bank of the lake.
The small clouds rolling off the lake were magnificently slow and seemed as if it would never end. She pulled her hoodie tighter and got a book from her bag. She had just started reading Twilight which seemed to be a good muggle book minus the cliches about vampires.
She loved books, especially muggle books because you had to use your imagination and didn't have those pictures constantly moving distracting you from the plot line.
She had just sat down near the base of a big Oak tree when she heard a twig snap. jumping was her first instinct, putting her hand on her wand the second and calling out came in third. "H-h-hello? Anyone there?" When no reply came she sat back down and reassured herself that it was a big animal making noise. That and she had just got to the part where the stupid muggle decided to face the big bad vampire by herself, can you say damsel in distress, Edward to the rescue coming up?
Another snap of a twig. This time Roxanne threw her book down jumped up and yanked her wand out. "If you don't answer me now I swear I'll make you my freaking puppet and dangle you from the roof tops only to let go. You got that?! Now show your self dammit!"
She was beyond pissed. Not only had she had a bad day but this asshole decided to disrupt her twice during her book the second being at a really really good part. Girl reading book with wand, don't make her mad, it's common sence everyone knows that. But some people just don't learn. She'll teach them a lesson though. Just wait for them to come out.
