General Personality:
It isn’t difficult to get along with Fred. He’s just like his father, George, when it comes to being funny, and pulling pranks, but with more bravado. He loves to prank people, to see their astonished looks, and to be able to laugh at them when they realize it was him that pulled the prank. All his life, having grown up with a father like George Weasley, he was shown how to pull simple pranks that no one would know he had done.
Fred is quite the charming young man. He tends to be extremely kind to any pretty lady he sees, except for a Slytherin. Then he’s just nice enough not to prank her. Out of habit, Fred usually spends his nights down by the lake, watching the cool water move in the moonlight.

History:
As an infant, Fred was never one to cry... much. He was usually laughing at one of his fathers silly little tricks, and magic as well. His mother, however, took a different role in his life, and took care of him, instead of playing – she considered it George’s job to do that.
Not long after his first birthday, another young being came into his life -- a sister. He played with her frequently, and as they grew up, became very close. They went everywhere together, no matter what.
George took to teaching Fred all the simple tricks he knew when Fred turned seven. By the time he got a letter from Hogwarts, his father had taught him every trick he knew that he could pull on other first years without the possibility pf being beaten up.
Fred took quickly to life at Hogwarts. He loved it. The food was good, the house elves nice, the classes good, but most of all, Defense Against the Dark Arts. The Dark Arts simply fascinated him. He never once attempted any of the spells they were told about, or taught defensive spells for, as he knew he would get into a lot of trouble if anyone caught him practicing them. He never told anyone what the Sorting hat had said to him during the sorting ceremony in his first year: “I see great potential in you, Fred Weasley. Yes, I see the pranks your father taught you, hoping you would turn out to be just like him, but I see more than that. You have another side of you. A side that belongs in Slytherin. You could go to great heights there. Trust me, you could go further in your life as a Slytherin than as a Gryffindor.”
It’s obvious what Fred did, considering the house he’s in. he didn’t want fame, or fortune. Not even power. All he wanted was friends, love, intelligence, and to be rebellious. In the prankster way. And so it’s been to this day.

The wind blew slowly and softly against the black water, which splashed heavily against the edges of the great black lake. Fred Weasley sat down beside the lake, and placed his hand in the water. The cool water felt freezing against his skin, which was fine to him. It helped him think. Closing his soft blue eyes, he let his hand move forward and backward in a swinging motion slowly in the water. He hadn’t pulled a prank in almost a month, and people were becoming less wary around him. They trusted him not to pull pranks anymore. This made him smile. If only they knew that he was planning a great trick. Something that would make even his father proud.
It wasn’t often that his father was proud of him. The last time George had been proud of him was back in his fifth year when he set fire to a tapestry lining the third floor corridor. And that had been a mistake. That mistake had cost him a week’s worth of his time in detention, and one-hundred and fifty points from Gryffindor. Yet, everyone praised him for it, despite the fact they had came in third place for the house cup that year. Everyone thought it had been hilarious.
He was snapped out of his thoughts as he shivered; the cold water was getting to him. He stood, sighing, staring out toward the lake. It was a beautiful sight. The small amount of light that came from the moon lit up the lake wherever it reflected, showing the movement pattern of the nearly still water. He loved sights like this. He loved nature. Which was why he wasn’t going to like his next prank. He looked over the grounds toward the Whomping Willow. Such an ugly piece of nature, others thought. But to him, it was amazing. Such an old piece of nature…
He spun toward the bushes as one cracked, pulling out his wand. “Whose there?” he called in his soft voice.
