When Your Playing With Desire ,, Don't Come Running To My Place ,, When It Burns Like Fire ,,
Amanda sat up suddenly, the hospital wing blankets falling off her as she did so. Her breathing was fast and heavy as her eyes darted around the darkening room. She had no idea how she got here, why she was here.
She swung her legs over the side of the bed and instantly regretted it. Her head spun violently and she flopped back onto the bed. Apparently she had been drunk, or is drunk she wasn't sure.
Amanda gasped loudly when a rather random pain seered across her stomach, she curled up into a ball, her face screwed up in pain. She moved her hand to her stomach pressing it hard on her stomach. Amanda pulled her hand away and held it in front of her face. Blood.
She groaned and rolled onto her back, putting her head back on the pillow. What the hell did she get up to? She strained her memory, just for anything, anything of what she'd done earlier on that night. At least she assumed it was earlier on that night...
Amanda half sat up and glanced at her stomach, it was bandaged up, but her crimson blood was seeping through. She groaned again and slammed her head back into the pillow.
What the hell had happened? She remembered.... Well nothing. She went on the field... And was drinking.. Vodka was it? She wasn't sure...
Amanda groaned again and rubbed her head with her hands. It felt like a large child was jumping on her forehead. She rolled onto her side, straining her eyes into the darkness. Trying to see if there was anyone around her who could tell her what had happened to her.

dancing through life skimming the surface gliding where turf is smooth Now it was not uncommon to find Miss Elphaba Finnigan in the Hospital Wing, in fact it had almost become part of her daily routine, but thankfully it was never for her. No she came to help out when things got too hectic as it was a way to kill her free periods. Elphaba was one of those people who didn't like to shut her brain off, she just kept buzzing, a real energizer bunny. Some even joked that she must just plug herself into a socket and charge up because she never seemed to stop once she started. Truthfully it was just she had no friends apart from Glinda she'd actually want to be around at night.
In hindsight it could be said the reason Elphie came to the Wing so much was because she was so used to being ill herself, it had just been a part of her life and now she knew it was back she needed to know she could help others. Her treatment was due to start over the Christmas holidays, then she'd magic herself some hair to cover it come the spring. Sure she'd have to spend a few extra weeks at home but the Head had already ok-ed that, it wasn't like the cancer was just going to go away, she'd have to fight again.
Whne Elphaba had first heard the leukemia was back it had knocked her for six, but now as she looked at it from the comfort of the Hospital Wing office she was pleased to be not as frightened as she always thought she would be. She'd beaten it once, she'd bloody well beat it again. There was so much going on in her life, she couldn't just up and leave it now. No one was to know she was sick and no one was to help her through it, this was her own personal war and she was going to win it. No matter how hard it fought back.
Hearing a noise from the room she glanced out to see who it was and smiled as she realized Amanda had finally woken up. Elfie had been the one to dress her wounds earlier that cold night, having not had any friends to hang out with she found herself there most nights really. Rising from her chair and grabbing a vial she had brewed herself she left the office and headed towards the other girl.
Pulling away the seat next to Amanda so she could get to her she smiled softly and gently pushed Mandy back onto her back so she didn't do anymore damage to her side. "Shhh don't panic, you're fine." She spoke reassuringly as she uncapped the potion bottle and tilted Amanda's head up, pouring it down. The taste was of strawberries to try and mask the fact it was a hangover cure. If she made it taste just like a drink then no one guess it was what was curing their headache and pains, she didn't want to have to be making it for everyone! "You should feel better in a bit."
Her voice was lightly Irish from her descent and rang clear through the night as she carefully examined the bandages and reached for her wand, waving it at a pile of bandages so they flew towards her. Now she could have used magic to dress the wound as well but with medicine it was always easier to do by hand, then you could make sure it was right. As she dressed the bleeding and murmured a charm to stem the bleeding finally she smiled up at her patient. "What do you remember?"

When Your Playing With Desire ,, Don't Come Running To My Place ,, When It Burns Like Fire ,, Amanda groaned again when a girl beside her spoke. She was tempted to spit back up the strawberry substance that was poured into her throat. She coughed quietly and groaned, moving onto her back.
She opened her mouth to say something, but closed it again as her headache seemed to disappear. She stared wided eyed up at the ceiling, ignoring the feeling of the girl bandaging her cut.
Amanda groaned and shook her head, propping herself up on her elbows. "I... remember.... drink?" she answered and then chuckled to herself

dancing through life skimming the surface gliding where turf is smooth Elphaba was used to see people like this, it was all part of teenage life from what she could see, everyone but her anyway. Not a dram of alcohol had ever touched her lips, same with any drugs. Elphie was a good girl through and through, possibly because of her near death experiences as a child, she believed there was something waiting for her on the other side and she wanted to go up with a clean slate, nothing against her name.
When the girl groaned she placed a soothing hand on her head and lightly pushed her back onto the pillows, a gentle touch was sometimes what a person needed. Typical Hufflepuff. When the girl groaned again and sat up again she had the urge to push her back once more, it was what she had been trained to do after all, but oh well if the girl wanted to be up she couldn't stop her. Her hair was scrapped back into a amazingly tight ponytail, a few strands falling out here and there because she hadn't redone it since about 9am that morning.
"Probably better to have forgotten it then," she joked in that soft gentle tone she seemed to have been born with. A whisper that nursed and soothed. Knowing Amanda was likely to fall over in a minute she eased her back onto her back. "Your side will feel better in this position than on your side." She explained as she watched the cut carefully, the blood had stopped and the new bandages were yet to absorb what been left over and she nodded to herself, Mandy would be fine. "Want to tell me why you were drinking?" She asked kindly, not wishing to pry but wondering if this girl needed someone to talk to, no one went out and got sloshed for no reason. Elphaba moved her dark eyes to Amanda, her entire face prompting trust, Elphie had never once spread anything she was told, who the hell did she have to tell?
