All day Tiraynan had been really impatient. She couldn't sit still in class and rushed almost everything, hoping that maybe if she rushed, the time would go by quicker. Boy was she wrong.
Being the total idiot she was, she decided to go visit the Whomping Willow today, maybe even try and fool its dumb old branches that lashed out at everyone that came near it. She wanted to prove that there was a way to trick the thing.
So all day she waited, impatient to go visit the god damn tree, the time going slower than it ever had before. When school was finally over for the day, she practically sprinted outside and to where the Whomping Willow was after looking around her to make sure no one followed.
She slid her book bag from her shoulder and took her robe off, revealing her salmon-colored Lets Rock And Roll tank top and her skinny jeans. Her hair was in its usual form, down and nothing in it. But today, she had straightened it. Tiraynan pulled her wand out from her book bag and approached the un-moving tree. "Hey old fella, are you up for a game of tag?" She teased. The tree turned its trunk to her and she could almost see the anger that was in it. Why was this thing so mean?
Instantly, a smaller branch appeared below her right hand, the one that held her wand, and hit it sharply, something cutting into her flesh. It was a sharpened twig that grew on it. From the pain, Ray dropped her wand and turned her hand to see the small wound the dumb tree had made into the side of her hand. Hot blood ran down her arm but she ignored it and bent down to pick up her wand. But it wasn't there.
"Where is my-" She stopped when she saw the small branch that had cut her hand, swipping her wand over to the trunk of the Whomping Willow. "Hey! I thought we were playing tag, not keep away! Now give me my wand back!" She snapped, wiping the blood from her hand onto her skinny jeans. The tree shook its trunk from side to side as if saying no. Tiraynan mumbled something under her breath and took of running toward her wand, which was now against the Whomping Willow's trunk. She was able to dodge three of the Willow's fast swings at her with its big branches, but the next one surprised her and she was knocked off her feet and sent sailing into the air, landing on the soft, green grass with a thump! A pain seered through her stomach and the wind was knocked out of her. But she gained it back and stood back up.
"Oh it's so on you bastard!" She yelled to the tree, giving it a dirty look. The tree was motionless as Ray began running to it. This time, she dodged all the blows aimed at her and she thought that maybe she would actually be able to get her wand. But a root planted in front of her wand, raised up and tripped her, sending her face first onto the ground. Luckily, she was fine. She reached her arm out to her wand and was about to grab it when something grabbed her foot and pulled her away. It was one of the tree's branches, once again. Tiraynan grabbed the ground below her, but only made finger marks in the dirt with her attempts to try and stay in one place. It kind of looked like she was in one of those muggle scary movies where the girl is dragged into the room, screaming and scraping her nails onto the wooden floor, only Ray wasn't screaming.
The tree tossed her back to the ground, a little bit gentler this time, and she stood up noticing her dirty hands and the layers of dirt under her nails. Just great. "So this is what I get for trying to mess with a dumb old tree. I am such a retard! Why didn't I go over this in my head?" She muttered to herself, staring at the old tree with her stone-like silver eyes. This wasn't fun. She'd rather be playing tag with the dumb old tree instead of having to retrieve her wand and getting beaten up for it too!
This had to be worse than her step-mother.
